Sociales y Humanidades, de la Universidad de La Frontera, cuya misio\u0301n es el ana\u0301lisis epistemolo\u0301gico y la produccio\u0301n de conocimiento pedago\u0301gico pertinente y actualizado, la difusio\u0301n en comunidades cienti\u0301ficas nacionales e internacionales, la experimentacio\u0301n educativa y la implementacio\u0301n cri\u0301tica de modelos educativos que permitan mejorar la calidad y equidad de la Educacio\u0301n de la macro regio\u0301n sur y del pai\u0301s; mediante un equipo acade\u0301mico, profesional y administrativo ido\u0301neo.<\/h5><h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\">A nivel de Pregrado, el Departamento desarrolla una docencia centrada en el aprendizaje del estudiante que garantice la Formacio\u0301n Inicial Docente, coherente al modelo educativo definido por nuestra casa de estudios. A su vez, imparte formacio\u0301n de postgrado de calidad, atendiendo tambi\u00e9n necesidades de formacio\u0301n continua y especializada de los profesionales que se desempen\u0303an en el campo de la Educacio\u0301n.<\/h5><h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Departamento cumple con las funciones universitarias de gestio\u0301n, de investigacio\u0301n, de docencia de pre y postgrado, de vinculacio\u0301n con el medio y formaci\u00f3n continua; adscritas a valores propios de la Universidad de La
